There are many people who influence and inspire young people, people who others look up to and admire. Some people, like Malala, inspires girls and women all around the world to stand up for female rights. I interviewed some young people to discover who inspires them.

Abbie – Year 8

Q: So who inspires you?

A: Tobi from the sidemen.

Q: Why does he inspire you?

A:  He is a kind, hard-working person, who I look up to.

Q: Would you say these are important qualities to have?

A: Yes, I would.

 

Lana – Year 8

Q: Who inspires you?

A: My friend Olivia

Q: Why does she inspire you?

A: She’s always happy and she has always got a smile on her face.

Q: Are these good values in life?

A: Yes, it’s important to cheer everyone up.

Q: Do you aim to be more like Olivia?

A: I aim to be more like Olivia.

 

Xander – Year 7

Q: Who inspires you?

A: Ash the Pokemon trainer.

Q: Why?

A: Well Pokemon Go gets me off my Xbox and gets me to go outside.

Q: Would you say spending time outside is important?

A: Yes.

 

Gina – Year 8

Q: Who inspires you?

A: Emma Watson

Q: Why does she inspire you?

A: She has done loads for women’s rights and shown that girls can do anything.

Q: Do you think there are enough role models like her for girls?

A: I think there should be more people like her.

 

Joshua – Year 7

Q: Who inspires you?

A: Bill Gates

Q: Why does he inspire you?

A: He created microsoft.

Q: What qualities does he have that you aspire you?

A: Hard work.

Lot’s of people are sources of inspiration for others and for many different reasons. It’s important to celebrate our differences and different qualities in people to make a positive impact.
