Feb Half Term

The activity programme for the February Half Term is now available to view online here.
A variety of activities are taking place including Cricket Camps, Dance Camps, Archery and much more. There is also the chance to take part in Clip ‘n Climb sessions at Concordia Leisure Centre.
You can also collect a brochure from any Active Northumberland site.

 

New Ability 2 Play Scheme

Ability 2 Play is set to launch a new referral scheme which will allow adults with disabilities the opportunity to access a range of leisure opportunities in Northumberland.

The launch event on, Thursday 2nd June 10am – 3pm, at Blyth Sports Centre invites anybody interested in the scheme to attend the free event to take part in taster activities and learn more about the programme.

Friday Night Kicks

A weekly NUFC Foundation session taking place at Hirst Welfare, Ashington has proved a popular choice for young adults. Every Friday at 8pm the centre regularly welcomes over 50 14-17 year olds who want to play football in a social setting.

Get Newbiggin Running

A new running initiative in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is set to provide a new opportunity for residents to get into running to raise their general health and fitness levels. A weekly running group invites anyone interested to meet at Newbiggin Sports & Communtiy centre every Wednesday, 5.30pm, sessions are open to all ability levels for a small charge of £1.
The town is also set to host a Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 20th March where people can Walk, Jog or Run a 1, 3 or 6 mile route. Those interested can register on the Sport Relief website at www.sportrelief.com.
