On Wednesday the 1st & Thursday the 2nd of May students visited Northumberland College to find out more about the world of work and post 16 courses as part of our Careers Education, Information & Guidance (CEIAG) programme.
On Wednesday the students were at Kirkley Hall for a World of Work Conference. Students got the opportunity to take part in some of the workshops below:
- The Day in the Life of a Police Officer
- The World of Construction – Lego Tower
- Tax Facts
- CV Writing and Interview Skills
- Know Your Preferred Learning Style
- Leadership and Teamwork Workshop
- Student Life
- Star Student Board Game
On Thursday the students were at Northumberland College take part in taster sessions in a range of departments. The departments running the taster sessions were:
- Hospitality
- Engineering
- Construction
- Rural Tourism
