The Three Rivers School Direct Partnership
The Three Rivers School Direct Partnership delivers a dynamic Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme based in and around the town of Morpeth, 15 miles and a 20 minute drive north from Newcastle upon Tyne.
With Chantry Middle School as lead school, we work in partnership with Northumbria University offering one year full time School Direct tuition placements in both primary and secondary settings.
You would become part of a long established network of successful schools that work closely together to share good practice and expertise. We are fortunate to offer a wide variety of settings including a small village first school, two large middle schools and a large high school of over 1500 students.
Primary trainees will be placed in our partner first and middle schools. Secondary trainees will be based at The King Edward VI High School and complete a second placement in one of our partner middle schools.
We will provide support, expertise and an array of experiences, allowing our trainees to fulfil their potential as outstanding practitioners.
Successful applicants joining the Three Rivers Trust will gain a full Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Masters credits from Northumbria University. Trainees will spend four days a week based in host and second placement schools with the fifth day dedicated to bespoke training and university support.
