Key Stage 2 have been lucky enough to have had two author visits so far this term. Here’s what our students thought…

Sylvia Linsteadt

Review by Eleanor L 6F:

Sylvia Linsteadt came to school and gave a really good presentation that left me wanting to buy the book. I loved how she included information about the wildlife near where she lived in the story. I think she is very intelligent and has great ideas. ‘The Wild Folk’ sounds like a really good book and I can’t wait to read it.

Peter Brown: 28.918

Review by Daisy W. 6F:

The amazing author and illustrator, Peter Brown, came in to talk to us about his first ever chapter book – ‘Wild Robot’. It’s about a robot called Roz who ends up on an island and she needs to learn how to survive. She disguises herself as grass and learns all the different animals languages. Peter Brow told us all about his childhood and showed us all of the pictures he’d drawn. His inspiration was his grandfather who would aways paint. Peter also did a live illustration for us of Roz running on the island that we got to keep! This was definitely my favourite ever author visit!
